Coaching and Teaching.
I have instilled enthusiasm and motivated the Welsh Marches border area for the last 20 years. I am very much involved with the
local pony clubs being on the committee of two and a chief instructor of one and an examiner up to H test standard.
Although an area based very much on agriculture, over the last 15 years I have trained teams and individuals every year who have
qualified for the Pony Club finals in at least one of the disciplines and although never winning, I have been very proud of their
horsemanship. I run clinics for the local riding clubs and riding schools.

Pupils I have trained and encouraged in the competitive field include:
Leslie Law-Olympic team silver medal 3DE
Graham Law-International Three day event rider
Tristram Owers -Completed Badminton
Louise Skelton-Placed at 3* level eventing
Claire Phillips-Completed Burghley
Richard Johnson-Leading National Hunt jockey
Jane Donaven-World championships Silver medal winner Endurance riding

Hunting
I have hunted all my life. I have been an amateur whip, field master and joint master of the Ludlow hunt for two years. I was
responsible for the arranging of meets, visiting the farmers before and after the meets and the running of the hunt kennels and
vehicles.

Training
I was fortunate to train under Capt.E Goldman and Vera Holden for three years during my school holidays which built on a very
sound foundation installed by the Pony Club. I competed on horses and had coaching from Sven Grape, who was the founder of
and chief instructor of the Stockholm riding club and helped train the Swedish Olympic show jumping and event teams. I also
produced and sold horses for Richard Mead O.B.E.

I have received coaching from the following instructors and fully recognise the need for continuous training:-
DickStillwell
Geof Glazzard
Pat Burgess
Pammy Hutton
Stephen Hadley

Christoph Hess
